When my husband died last October I did what he wanted, cremation with no funeral.

That's the way it was handled in our family when my cousin passed. An emptiness.

My uncle and his daughter passed this year. I want to hug my aunt and her daughters so tight.
Cremations and waiting.
So sorry it has to be this way.

However, we had 'a celebration of life.' It was beautiful. So many friends and family came and I told the kids that is what I want. I also want them to put his ashes and mine together and spread near or in the ocean.

So much has been taken from us this year, including many sources of comfort. It probably doesn't help much now, but it won't last forever. We will all get through this, and it will get better.
