What is the potential political fallout from the Michigan militia arrests?

I think Trump gets hurt particularly in Michigan for egging on these nutjobs. I also think he takes a further hit nationwide just because of the shock of this and the fact that he has been encouraging his supporters to make a show of force at the polls.

the 1% may now think he is nuts too? Leaving him with only the nut jobs and drop outs.

This latest case in Michigan shouldn't even gotten as far as it did.
They have to start busting these groups up more aggressively. They are terror cells.

15. What is needed is more infiltration of these groups.

These people should be made to fear that every other group member is an FBI or ATF informant. The distrust sown will eventually cause the groups to collapse.

1) RW terrorists planned trial and execution of targeted governor.
2) Takeover of capital building.
3) Attacks on prime law enforcement targets.
4)Ultimate goal was to ignite a civil war.
All motivated by tRump’s obvious political tactics. People will connect the dots and their conclusion
will be damning when coupled with his refusal to commit to a peaceful transfer of power.

It’s basically a fulfillment of what his critics have been saying for a long time. That he’s inciting violence.

Similar, but not as impactful , as him being careless and getting Covid.

This is another nail. Trump is awful and this is what his words have brought forth.

Trouble is....this state is full of these neckbeards. They permeate the Thumb area.McVeigh memorial monkeys. Deckerville baby. They think they got cred.Ha ! Shit there isn't even many weed stores up in the Thumb, yet I'll bet they all smoke it. The Western half of Mich is DeVos country with her Spectrum Health area in Grand Rapids/ Kalamazoo. You need Pain Pills, just hit the local bar, someone there will sell you a thousand. Tons of the Trumpanzies out that way. The U.P. is full of nazi M'fers. They lurk in the woods and vales. They throw Nazi business cards under the sheets at the local motel in Strong, Mi. Its disgusting.I'm sure the cops look the other way cos they're skeered or part of it, and the DNR are useless for woodsie complaints. Gotta carry here, for you never know...

Damn, I drifted that thread. The fallout hopefully is already happening. The whole state got mail -in ballots on or about Sept.23, and over that weekend zillions of us filled 'em out and dropped them off or mailed them. In checking the web we saw ours were accepted on Sept.29 at our clerks office. Hope they are safe and secure till counting. I'm thinking we turn the State blue. Although the wealthier cities are still touting Rethug.Todays threats, arrests, and orangeanusmouths tweets, will seal the deal...

If I were a member of a militia - regardless of where, unless you were totally legit, I would be sweating blood.

Men in groups sometimes say stupid things, I can imagine that the members of certain groups at times said stupid things, and now they have to wonder. Wonder if some member of the group might want to ‘sing like a bird’ to ensure that he/she won’t be caught up in some type of trap.

Wonder if some member of their group might have been a party with another group that might have conspired to do something wrong.

Shades of Cointelpro from the 60’s.

Innocent or guilty - the net is wide.
