But a source familiar with the situation told NJ Advance Media on Wednesday that the 58-year-old ex-governor was in good spirits, getting good care, and is not on a ventilator.

Multiple sources said there were no changes as of Thursday afternoon.

Christie — who has struggled with his weight and has a long history of asthma — tweeted Saturday night that despite “feeling good” and having only “mild symptoms,” he checked himself into the hospital Saturday as a precautionary measure. Because of his conditions, the Mendham resident at higher risk of developing complications from the virus.

Sorry-- but the same thing happened-- he went into the hospital, and there were a few empty upbeat "updates," and then almost nothing for two weeks, and then....

As former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie spends his sixth day in a hospital being treated for COVID-19, current Gov. Phil Murphy said Thursday his predecessor is "the quintessential Jersey fighter.”

Christie’s exact condition remains unknown and it’s still unclear what course of treatment he’s receiving. The 58-year-old old hasn’t tweeted since Saturday, and doctors, family, and friends have not made any announcements about how he’s doing.

the WH people were in serious condition. I waited to hear who, but they moved on to another subject. I watched other news programs but didn't hear anyone named. Maybe it is Christie.

The person in charge of the White House security office contracted a severe case of the coronavirus last month and has been hospitalized ever since, according to an administration official with knowledge of the situation.

The security office head, Crede Bailey, whose office handles a number of duties, including approving certain security clearances, coordinating with the Secret Service and handling credentials for people to be able to come onto the White House grounds, was taken to the hospital in late September, the administration official said.

Bloomberg News previously reported on the situation.

Mr. Bailey’s case is not seen as connected to an outbreak that officials believe stemmed from the Sept. 26 events at the White House honoring Judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Trump’s nominee to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court.

Which would not be available to just anyone. Wherever Christie is, he's just another Covid patient, a former governor, getting good care but not what 45 got.

I'm waiting for 45 to relapse and return to Walter Reed.

And while I'm on the subject, these covidiots deserve to get infected for their blatant disregard of safety precautions. Some may learn and grow from the experience. Some will die, some will have permanent organ damage or new chronic medical conditions as a result. It is what it is.
I have an iota of sympathy for them, but not much more than that. I feel sad that they behaved recklessly, putting themselves and others in jeopardy, and were guided by self serving role models rather than science,

He is morbidly obese, and covid just loves morbidly obese. Obesity is a major factor for severe covid complcations.
