Chris Wallace is saying on Fox 'News' ...

A major reason the commission on debates changed the next presidential debate to a virtual one is because no one wanted to be in the same room with Donald Trump.

The sound and camera crew were refusing
plus the commission was having trouble finding noncommitted voters willing to be in the audience of the townhall to ask the questions.

Even though Trump had to test negative to appear,
no one wanted to be in the room with Trump,
so says Chris Wallace ... Fox News.

That's what having a union does for you. Someone's looking out for your welfare on the job other than the boss who gets a bigger paycheck or bonus if he can work you to the very limit of safety (or maybe a little beyond, which is unfortunate, and we'll all miss the guy who sadly got killed this week; now back to work).

It makes me think back to something Jacqueline Susann (who wrote "Valley of the Dolls" - a lurid best-selling novel of sex, drugs, and Hollywood) said about Philip Roth (who wrote "Portnoy's Complaint" a lurid best-selling novel about a guy who can't stop masturbating): she thought he was certainly a fine fellow author but "... I just wouldn't want to shake hands with him."

Fun illicit teenage reading back in the late 60s. We'd sometimes bring our "outside reading" to class, prop up some textbook on the desk, and sneak OUR paperback novel onto the desk in front of it so the nun teaching up front by the blackboard wouldn't see.

The best part is that if the commission's hands were forced by their tech crews, it's very unlikely that they'll be able to return to an in-person format for the final debate). Cheato will huff and puff (and wheeze and cough and gasp and choke) at the commission, but he's in absolutely no position to bargain, given that he's the one who desperately needs an opportunity to change the dynamics of the race.
