Is it just me?

I drive an hour and change to work every morning and stream Kasie Hunt’s show on MSNBC in the car and....does anyone else find her Mildly uninteresting and just a little too cutsie? She constantly makes a big deal about it being early in the morning. Yes, I know it’s early in the morning, anyone who’s listening to her is up early in the morning and knows it. Also, she makes known her personal interests, likes, dislikes, preferences, and whereas I understand how Morning TV has evolved since Dave Garroway, it’s a bit much for me at least.

But I may be wrong in my assessment. Sometimes I’m too harsh and too critical when I shouldn’t be. I recognize that fault in myself. Any thoughts?

Switch to another news program/host.

It's ok to get annoyed by overdone early birds. Many people feel that way.

It takes me a while to wake up fully and giddy blindingly sunny morning people get on my nerves too.

The idle chatter doesn’t sound interesting to me. I listen to Progressive Radio on SiriusXM, but it grows tiresome with all the ads for boner pills and tax relief.

Oh, maybe an occasional mildly amusing insurance ad, but, yes, after that...

Tax relief and boner pills, as you say.
Get out of your timeshare now!
Almost-certainly bogus supplements which all have to say "This product is not intended to diagnose, prevent, treat, or cure any disease".
Pet supplements, which apparently don't require the same warnings as human supplements.
Anti-snoring aids.
Franchise offers (which we are told aren't really franchise offers, because a franchise offer can only be made through blah, blah, blah).

I'm probably missing something, but that covers 95% of it I think.

It’s as bad as AM talk radio. Chaps my ass to think I’m already paying for the privilege of listening to that incessant stream of ads.

She is too chirpy and it comes across as bad acting. She needs to just be herself rather than listening to the producers telling her to be all cheery and sunshine. It is making her into a character on a sitcom.

that is, how shall I say it, disquieting? Not sure what it is. It is just not pleasant to hear, IMO. And since I typically listen to MSNBC (tunein or other) more than I watch it, it does matter a bit more to me than it would others, I'd guess. And, yeah, there are a lot of pundits, news panel "regulars," and others with voices that are not exactly easy to hear hour after hour, so I try to just brush it of. After all, Molly Jong-Fest is like nails on the chalkboard to me, but she's funny and I like listening to her with Rick Wilson on podcasts.

So, picky as it may seem, I just don't enjoy listening to her, though it really is not the content nor presentation so much as the voice.

Oh, and truth in commenting, I have a voice I absolutely hate to listen to as well. So, maybe she sounds like me? Not sure.
