Trump on Limbaugh: "I don't think the debates mean that much"

Preparing to chicken out of the last debate.

1. So for those actually listening to this, is Limbaugh even mildly countering ANYTHING?

3. Nothing that I've noticed, other than Limbaugh seeming to blame Trump a bit for

not allowing Biden to supposedly do worse in the last debate. Trump was saying Biden couldn't debate, Limbaugh suggested that would have been more obvious if Trump hadn't kept interrupting him.

No response that I noticed from Trump on that. Though later he said he HAD to interrupt because Biden was "lying." He blamed Chris Wallace for not doing that, and that launched Trump's attack on Fox that I posted about here:

5. That actually was Rush's critique after the debate.

I heard the intro with the Lee Greenwood song and the (fake) crowd chanting We. Love. You.

6. Why would Limbaugh counter anything Trump says?

His audience is composed of roughly 100% Trump worshipers. He gains nothing by alienating them.

7. If he cares about Trump having a chance to win, I'd think he might.

8. He's a performer. Performers need an audience.

Don't confuse the radio persona with the real person. I suspect the real person cares much more about keeping his fans happy so he can continue to perform for the rest of his life, than he does about whether Trump wins the election.

Whether or not he runs away from the last one, he knows he sucks.

4. Whenever Trump begins a statement with "I think..." you know BS follows

Because whatever he “thinks” denies reality.

losing him quite a few votes.
