It's being used a lot lately, and I don't like it - not because I have any fondness for Trump (quite the contrary), but because "it" is intended to dehumanize him. We use "it" for non-human animals, but Trump is human, and humans are capable of far more heinous behavior than animals. Make him own his humanity and the horror that can come with it; don't elevate him to animal status. Animals are innocent. They kill only to eat and defend, not out of ego and malice. There are no animal equivalents of Hitler or Stalin. Or Trump.
