The president's son tweeted out a tired, worn-out political stereotype and got what he deserved. On Friday morning he asked, "Why do you never see an American flag on a house with a Biden sign in the front yard?"

His underlying assumption is that Republicans love America more than Democrats.

Sure, you're probably a lot less likely to see a Democrat driving around in a pickup truck with a massive American flag flying from the back. You probably won't see too many Democrats with a bumper sticker that reads: "American, love it or leave it" either.

But that doesn't mean they love American any less. They just choose to express it differently.

A flag is just a symbol that represents something, but it is not the thing in itself.

What matters most is the thoughts, behaviors and actions that it is supposed to represent.

In this case, some people are hiding under the flag some atrocious actions towards their FELLOW Americans and ushering in Fascism while they are at it, negating the original meaning of that symbol.

on my home and have since I have owned one for 40 years. My retired WWII US Navy father flew one everyday up until the day he died. My mother continues to fly it in his memory.

I followed in his footsteps.

However, my dad kept putting a flag that was too large on our flag pole. It finally broke the flagpole. This was, strangely, right after Trump moved in to our White House.

I decided right then and there that I wasn't replacing the flagpole until we had a new president. This is the kind of flag pole that you see sitting in front of City Hall. Not that large, but the same kind.

I cannot wait to put the new flag pole in and hoist a new American flag!

15. That last picture is from the infamous Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden, NYC, in 1939....

Alas, I'm pretty sure my paternal grandfather (who I never met) was at that rally. It was organized by the German American Bund, of which he was a member.

The story we heard when I was a child is that he was a big supporter of Nazi Germany before WWII, and even sent money over there to the Nazi Party.

He was already estranged from the family by the time I was born.

Here's the story of that rally with a short documentary video. The speech in the documentary is frighteningly similar to what we're hearing today, right down to the attack on the American press.
