Second debate has been cancelled. Was there a third debate schedule?

we may see a return to the "normal" of 1964-1972, where there were no presidential-level debates. It was Jerry Ford's willingness to debate as an incumbent when he faced off a challenger for his job in 1976 that started the modern debate era, the Nixon-Kennedy debate was a one-off, historically speaking.
Most people have more than enough information to make a choice, no matter what their political orientation is. Debates just seem to be "gotcha" events where one side hopes the other will screw up the most. So-called debaters dodge questions, and have the opportunity (previously used sparingly) to insult the opponent to his or her face. They generate more heat than light, and they may just go away.
