I’m old, fat and asthmatic. I probably could have voted by mail but didn’t apply. I usually wait till the 2nd or 3rd weekday of early voting either just before or after lunch. That’s when you can usually just waltz in with encountering a big crowd.

My wife has a picture of her standing with Mr. Takei at a fund-raising event. She was pretty high up in the Boys And Girls Clubs of America, met all kinds of celebrities that way, and actually became friendly with some.

She and GT never got to "friend" stage, but that picture is a proud possession.

If and when he gets sick, he and we will all know. And contact tracing (by the NY Times and others) will then commence. Refusing testing delays when that starts, but it also affords him a narrow window over which he gets to infect others as he sees fit.
