Cal AG issues cease-and-desist to Cal GOP putting out fake ballot boxes. GOP replies "suck it'

Unauthorized election ballot drop boxes have been found across California — in Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties as well as in Fresno. On Monday, California's Secretary of State Alex Padilla and Attorney General Xavier Becerra sent out cease-and-desist letters to the state Republican Party, which appears to own at least some of these collection boxes.

In a statement to NPR on Monday night, California GOP spokesperson Hector Barajas wrote: "We are going to respond to the letter, continue our ballot harvest program and not allow the Secretary of State to suppress the vote."

What I said is admittedly speculation, based on the fact that these boxes are in areas most likely to garner Trump votes, gun shops, party offices, etc. If they turn these votes in, with or without any Biden votes placed in the boxes, all they will do is to reduce Biden's margin of victory in California. If they do what I am guessing they will do, sacrifice Trump votes and "find" them later, it will buttress Trump's narrative of the whole process being suspect helping to drag the election out in court.

I do understand the ballot harvest program, I just believe it will be perverted in the ways mentioned above. I certain hope that I am wrong and you are right about simply turning them in.

unless they open the envelope, thereby spoiling the ballot? The powers-that-be are not going to accept any ballot that arrives in a tampered-with envelope. There is nothing on the outer envelope indicating the voters’ preferences.
