Earlier, I was listening to news on Sirius (who it was, who knows...) and heard some disturbing...

numbers.

Again, don't remember exactly what they were, but mentioned were three or four states where Republican registrations were vastly outpacing Democratic ones. No further details, like was it people moving, new registrations, people changing parties...

Whatever the reasons, though, this is disturbing. In my area, new Democratic registrations are outpacing Republican, but that's mainly because of kids and NYC people moving out here. Why it's different in PA could mean problems.

There were stories of them signing everyone up as Republicans even if they weren't. They were paid based on number of new GOP registrations. That's a syetem that's begging to be abused. I think this explains some of the higher Republican registrations in some areas. The other point I would make is that even with the new registrations the Dems will still have a registration advantage in PA unless they have registered 800,000 new voters.

Dem - 4,092,693
GOP - 3,290,944
Other - 1,215,657
Total - 8,599,294

That comes from the cook report. The post is in the editorial group posted by BigmanPigman and the title of the thread is Biden isn't out of the woods yet. However I read the article all the way to the end which listed where the data was coming from. First of all, the registrations from 2 of the states were writing /talking about came from way back in March. The third state comes from June. Seeing that they were earlier in the year and the information actually predates all the polls idk how accurate it is.

(nb: you weren't but we went through several rants this morning about how shows and correspondents discussing this story was clearly an attempt to depress Democratic voters...even though the Biden Campaign manager said the same thing.)

Repubs are playing catchup. Anybody who hasn't voted yet should be determined to do so.
