October 15 was the first day of Early Voting in NC. After the sites closed yesterday, here are the totals:
Mail-in ballots received: 556,366
Early voting (1 day): 333,466
Total: 889,832
Party breakdown of those who have voted:
Democratic: 438,931
Unaffiliated: 256,193
Republican: 191,666
Libertarian: 2,451
Green: 371
Constitution: 220

(3,169 posts)But will try to find out. I DO know that in 2016, the total number of mail-in votes was around 192,000. That total has already been blown out of the water with 18 days to go!

(3,169 posts)In NC, there were 4,741,564 votes cast in the presidential election. Just over 3 million voters cast ballots early, either absentee by mail or in-person early voting. We have already had more than double the number of mail in ballots this year, with 18 days to go.
