I am at peace.... perfect peace

so sayth the Peacetrain..

I have voted absentee.. dropped it off at the courthouse.. and was able to check online that it was there.

I am at peace..

I am seeing millions of people who have already voted.. some standing in line for 12 hours.. determined to have their vote counted

I am at peace..

I see and hear the fear in the voices on the far right who have embraced Trump

Even Trump knows what is about to happen

I am at peace

Hot topic in psychology these days & very effective for most people.

Let me know how it works for you, if not too much trouble?

It really was a physical moment as I walked out of the county BoE office. I felt lighter.

When the whole coronavirus thing started last spring, one of my goals was to make sure I survived long enough to vote. I did! It might get me going forward, but I did achieve that goal. I made my vote count.

Now I want to survive long enough to move into my new house--hopefully late December--and then watch Joe Biden and Kamala Harris be inaugurated next January.

Then I got off my laurels and got back online and continue to spit out GOTV's and 'VOTE Like Your Life Depend's On It' all over the interwebs, and like every pro-biden anti-killerclown tweet and youtube video I can.

No rest for the weary...but that Peace has recharged me for the end game.

Knowing we are doing something that may bring in a few more votes is quite helpful.

On the other hand sometimes it can backfire. We put an insert in our lit drop bags with contact information since I am the Democratic Precinct Chair. So today I did a lit drop using a list conjured up from info in the VAN; essentially we don't have much info about the houses we visit.

SO I got an extremely nasty email from one of the folks who were on my list. What makes them so Angry? He threatened me with legal action if any thing else showed up, and that I was in violation of his 'no soliciting' sign. Of course a lit drop isn't soliciting.

At another house, the wife came to the door while I was hanging the lit and she looked at it and said "we don't want this, we don't want any Democrat crap in this house". So I said That's OK I can give it to someone who wants it." I had just gotten to my car when her husband came out and wanted to know why I was a Democrat..I gave my reasons and then he got on the socialism bandwagon. He was a piece of work. I actually lost my temper which I seldom do and called him a name. This is what #45 has done to me.

The F word was never in my vocabulary before 2017. I hope I never feel the need to use it again.

I voted in person at 815am on Thursday here in North Carolina and it felt like my first time!

I have worked Thursday, Friday & Saturday as a poll greeter at our early voting location and had great conversations with my neighbors about change!

Hopeful. Not as worried about the outcome!

Monday being a Federal holiday, the earliest it could be picked up was Tuesday ... so I studied up on thepropositions, filled it out, and put it into my mailbox for Tuesday pickup.

Call me paranoid, but, being a veteran, I have lots of flag stickers sent to me in the mail - and I put one on each side of the envelope to make it look Republican.

In any case, I then went on line and signed up to get an emal when it was received and another when it was "accepted" (signature matches and instructions followed).

It was received yesterday afternoon.

It was accepted before 10:30 pm yesterday.

I have voted.

and she expressed basically the same thing.. she had watched the last town hall debates, and she said she found such comfort in Biden and that contrast with Trump on the other channel was just jarring.. The funny thing is, Biden was not her first choice. She made me feel so good because I keep saying this is Bidens time.. and she said I was right, this is his time!

For the first time in our lives, we chose to do the election in August and this upcoming one with mail-in ballots. Both times we got them promptly and fill them out that evening and return them the following day. I tracked them and they have been received, but not counted yet.

But how do you come to peace with those you know who are still insanely promoting that crazy man? Changing the topic doesn't even seem to work as more of his insanity and Desperation comes out. I find myself avoiding and distancing myself and not even replying to those with crazy ideas. Sad when you have to avoid relatives and longtime friends because they try to steal your contentment. I don't bring up the conversation, if they often do and no matter what you share with them, it's just all wrong because they know Trump is a good and godly man and Biden is a senile old man in the basement. SMH!

The right cannot steal that vote.. now I am doing all that I can to make sure everyone walks their vote into the courthouse.. and makes sure it is accounted for.. They (the right) have reasons to sweat.. that is for sure.. and Beacool.. I live in Iowa.. I am riding around the farmland areas and the Biden/Harris signs are popping up on the farms.. for 3 years we saw nothing but trump stuff out there permanently on the sides of the silos or barns.. its like everyone went ENOUGH!!! all at once..

Then you got you work cut out for you. I'm in NJ, a safe blue state. I'm glad that you're seeing Biden/Harris signs. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I hope that it helps Biden that Trump is acting batsh*t crazy at his rallies. Calling Fauci an idiot who got more airtime than Bob Hope is no way to attract new voters. He's out of his mind.

Knowing it’s in, and for the first time in a long time that our state, Kansas, might actually mean something is exhilarating.

Watch Barbara Bollier, switched to Democrat, possibly win the senate. Our area produced the lovely and powerful Sharice Davids. Bollier was a major player in Republican politics here until the party was hijacked. I respect people who have a change of heart. Moderates are aok here and work together, like the good old days before the GOP went nuts.
