I'll bet that when seat belts were introduced, they wouldn't wear them!

If you don’t believe in masks reducing the spread of the virus, next time you go for surgery tell the surgeon that hand washing, gloves and masks are not necessary. Tell the surgeon you respect their freedom not to wear mask and gloves!

The answer is no. She doesn’t believe the mask hype and she disengaged her seatbelt reminder on her car. She considers herself very bright (which she was in school) but she’s a very stupid woman. I don’t get it. She thinks she’s a badass that is exercising her freedoms.

A mask isn't much different and is needed for some of the same reasons.

5. Major MF 45 supporter dies this week in a car crash

A Lakefield, Minn., man deemed President Donald Trump’s “biggest supporter in Minnesota” was killed in a car crash Monday, reportedly days after meeting the president.

According to a Facebook group, Randal Thom, 60, was the creator of Front Row Joes, an online assemblage of Trump supporters.

Thom “was known as Front Row Joe because he had attended so many Trump rallies. He adored our POTUS and was known personally by the secret service.

Thom was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators reported evidence of alcohol use by Thom, who was not wearing a seat belt, the State Patrol report said. Road conditions were reported as wet at the time.

So even his supporters won’t wear seat belts or masks!!!!

Surely they would insist that their surgeon not wear a mask during surgery. After all, who would want their surgeon deprived of oxygen, or enabling their own virus, or whatever bullshit they come up with?

for not masking the way there is for not wearing a seatbelt, I don't expect much to change. Some will no doubt argue that there have been fines for not masking in some EU countries yet they still have rising numbers of cases, though maybe not as bad as places w/o penalties.

9. I remember when seat belt laws were first being enforced,

a lot of idiots (probably the same bunch as the anti-maskers) griped that the government was taking away their freedumb by making them wearing seat belts in their own private cars, the very nerve! Same with laws requiring motorcycle helmets, even though ER staff sometimes refer to motorcycles driving by helmetless fools as "donorcycles." I have the right to disregard laws enacted for my own protection because it's none of the government's business if I go out and kill myself, right? Except that the morons who don't wear seat belts or motorcycle helmets or face masks don't just risk killing themselves; they place a burden on the medical system, their families, and taxpayers. But they don't care because freedumb, otherwise known as plain old selfishness.

I remember the outcry about seatbelt laws when they first started being enacted. (We were living in New York State when a law was enacted in 1984, which I think was the first). Wah, wah, wah.

I’ve argued for years for laws mandating bicycle helmets, and all I hear is pushback: how would it be enforced (why not?). Nobody will do it (what does that have to do with making a law?) I say you’re nuts if you don’t wear a helmet. I’ve seen the tragic results of bicyclists who were not wearing a helmet.

Masks? No brainer. I’m glad I live in a city where mask compliance is very high.

Many Americans understand the lifesaving value of the seat belt – the national use rate was at 90.7% in 2019. Seat belt use in passenger vehicles saved an estimated 14,955 lives in 2017.

So, I'd be OK with a $100 fine.

made the news here. He had travelled all over to Trump Rallies. The newspaper noted that he was NOT wearing his seat belt when the car accident occurred. So, maybe he is just really, really stupid about his "freedoms."
