They're at over 98% of their 2016 total already, with 6 more days of early voting to go. According to Texas people I've been talking to, if Denton goes blue, the state is going blue.

(3,213 posts)and high turnout there will likely favor Democrats. It's kind of a bell weather county for all of Texas.

(9,952 posts)That being said, a lot of young people there like Trump. Even the educated. Lifetime of being brainwashed and they see it serves them $ well.
This will be interesting to see the results.

(9,952 posts)and I was reading an article that they have blasted some record, nationally with early voting. Kinda the same environment but they are off Austin and Denton is off Dallas/FtWorth. So that is good to know. I feel much more confident it is a blue wave happening there. That is what I am hoping for.

(9,952 posts)also discuss the panhandle, El Paso and Houston and other places rough time with covid. Hospitals are full and was told doing tent structures outside. They are very cavalier about covid and people dying.
... however, from what I read it is moving from solid red, to light red, toward purple status.
Beto got 45% of the vote which is an eight-point improvement on HRC numbers.

(9,952 posts)from then. They give us information, lol. That just cracks me up. Their stupid, willful self admitting stupid.
Thank you. I got the feel it was tending progressive with their University vote. Get those kids out. !!! Their voice matters. I know a very strong, awesome smart, feminist woman who should be in her senior year there. All kinds of progressive fun with her voice. I met her years ago when she was in high school, and we bonded. I do have faith in our young vote. Beto does so well with that. He gets a huge pat on the back.

This is a Wakeup call election. Gotta give a to Beto O'Rourke. He said it could happen and he's worked his butt off to make it so.
