If 45 loses next week, will he remain quiet in obscurity after Biden's inauguration?

At least during my lifetime, once a new president is inaugurated, the previous one disappears from the spotlight and we don’t hear much about them apart from them going home or on vacation.

Will 45 do the same or will he still be blasting out tweets to his crazed minions and calling into Fox News after Biden assumes the oath of office? He seems so starved for attention and he will be extremely bitter about losing that I cannot imagine he will shut up. Will the media outside of Fox pay him any attention, though?

In fact, the alternative would perhaps be an actual split in the party organizationally.

I don’t think a lot of the establishment Republicans would want Trump to be party leader. I also don’t see them actively resisting it.

I have the feeling that -- assuming he is slaughtered in the election -- Trump will try to lay low. Because every time he'll pop his head up, someone will be looking to sue him.

It's only a feeling, though. I could be very wrong.

Will he be able to raise enough money from his racist rubes to continue holding rallies while he grifts them? Will a benefactor like Adelson pony up the phones to ensure the message remains in the public media sphere? 45 certainly will not be paying for his rallies. States and cities will no longer allow him to host them up front without payment first. Tweeting is essentially free, though. However once he is a private citizen again, he risks having his account locked by Twitter for the crap he spews.

because it's going to take a good while for all the ballots to be tabulated, then counted again, then for the legal action to be sorted out and then for the electoral college to vote. If he's going to lose, it will be over that stretch.

Next Tuesday isn't the end. It's beginning of the most dire period in our nation's history since the Civil War and it will last for months.

as so many of Trump's base aren't bothering to vote early, while a sizable percentage of Biden's support has been. If Trump squeaks out a victory that evening, he will want to cease the count immediately and will fight the tabulation of provisional/absentee ballots.

That's been the expectation all along. Not just from me, but plenty of "experts."

Once Biden pulls ahead from the post-Election Day count, Trump will start some hijinks.

I think we'll hear him screaming on the West Coast and we'll be forced to watch and listen to his bile until Jan 20. The networks are happy to show him because people apparently are entertained by him -- I'm pretty much sick of politics 24/7. I want someone to start a campaign that lets the networks know we have zero interest in that buffoon and do not want to hear or see him at all once he is safely out of office; except of course to hear about his criminal trials.

We know he's "too good" to appear in court himself like the lowly, but he'll be pulling the strings and directing his defense behind the scenes. He won't be quiet, however; he's not bright enough for that. Instead, he will annoy and frustrate those he has hired for his defense, until they call it quits and send him on to the next bozo willing to take his case(s).
