(5,556 posts)hype from Trump.
They went from 'we is the best!' to 'we is the coldest!' in minutes afterwards.
Another thread suggests the bus drivers were told they would be paid after bussing the rally sheep to the venue, but weren't paid, so went 'Aww gee!' and went home, leaving the rally sheep to find their own way back to their cars, 3.7 miles away..
Any truth to that?

(6,095 posts)I did a back-of-the-envelope calculation based on number of buses, distance driven, bus capacity and some generous assumptions. I came up with a guesstimate of two hours to move everybody. They did it in three. Not wildly different.

(778 posts)Claim that the bus company says the drivers were paid. However, it wouldn't be shocking if they weren't.
I like the sob story that is on some of the news about an old man who collapsed or an 8 and 1/2 month pregnant lady and small children and those needing Medical Care. What are they saying? The man wasn't already old when he went to the rally? None of them knew it was going to be cold? The lady wasn't already pregnant when she went to the rally? I pity none of them.

Replying to @MSNBC
Bus company supervisor: The campaign said they would pay us when we arrived. Nobody paid us. They said passengers would wear masks. Nobody was wearing masks and they all kept singing "YMCA". So we left because we heard from other bus companies they didn't get paid last time.

(90,380 posts)Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
