damaged. This has shown to the world that our electoral system is so flawed that a madman like Trump can be elected. Our laws and institutions so fragile they can be corrupted by said wannabee dictators. Our treaties, agreements with other countries can be canceled on a whim. Our word can not be trusted. Why enter a deal with the US if the next president can arbitrarly cancel it ?
After Joe Biden takes over and we retake the senate, we can address some of it but a permanent fix will require drastic changes to our instititions, the power of the presidency and the system of check and balances.

I am afraid that, if Biden wins, he or our party candidate will have a very difficult time winning again. It shouldn't be that way, but we are a country of morons, and the morons have the Electoral advantage.

an issue here in the States. I think many worried countries just want to see us get back on track. Joe Biden expressed it well when he said this election could demonstrate that Trump was an anomaly. Europe is fighting back authoritarians in Hungary and Poland. Germany has a rising far right party.

Our best defense is to immediately reform alliances with our allies and punish foreign interlopers who have made it their mission in life to destroy democracies.

But we do have to fight hard against certain political machines that wish to do our democracy harm, specifically the racist supremacists and, particularly, the Christian Nationalists. Too many people don't take them seriously. They are well funded an well organized, and it's global in extent. In some cases they are funded by our enemies.

I have said many times to my friends as well. Getting this ass clown out of office is great and all but someone this ignorant, immoral, unqualified, and mentally flawed being elected in the first place is a shame that will linger long after we are all gone.

This country elected a friggin reality TV show host president. Who's next? Dog the Bounty Hunter? One of the Duck Dynasty guys? Honey Boo Boo?
