https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/10/election-protests-alone-wont-stop-coup/616895/As that article shows, we must bring in the mainstream. "count every vote" brings in the mainstream.
Protests are not enough.
And we must consider giving to Biden's legal fund.

(34,857 posts)Especially if Biden is declared the winner, which he most likely will be, on, or shortly after election day. This is only something we should contemplate if it's apparent the votes won't be counted or that electors are somehow going to flip despite Biden winning - and I say that because much of that level of chaos is not very likely.
What we don't want is to create chaos in a situation devoid of it and that's what is being proposed here: strike, slowdown and protest even if Biden wins until the votes are counted and certified. That will play right into Trump's hands, cast way more post-election uncertainty and lead to much bigger issues, imo.
We need to be smart.
But I agree about giving to his legal fund. Every other point in this post, though, is alarmist and premature.

(13,991 posts)we should only take the drastic measures outlined in the OP if Trump is somehow successful in stealing the election. Id say theres a 5% or less chance of that happening.
