The Republican Party should be known as the anti-democracy party.

If the governor hadn't limited each county to a single drop off box, driver through voting would not have been necessary.

The "from your car" part was unnecessary. That question puts unnecessarily puts them in a position where they have to argue a little points that are outside of the main argument.

I expect a biased decision by this wretched excuse for a judge.

Witness reports say he looked skeptical of Republican arguments, but a quarter of an hour to decide suggests a decision made in advance....

I think the main issue will be its too late, votes have already been cast in a manner voters thought was legal, and furthermore the decision should be with the state not Federal. It would be shocking if he decided to throw out these votes... even for a RW judge.

How the decision obviously should go is not what I expect from this wretch.

The GOP is just shameless! Complete panic mode. Willing to scrap legitimate votes if they feel it helps their cause. Republican contempt for democracy has just continued to grow in the age of Trump.

Judge said he wasn't happy with the decision (personal bias showing thru) but the law required it.

As distressing as all these voter challenges have been at least the majority of them have went our way. It shows even right wing judges need actual evidence of wrongdoing. Let's hope that's the end of it and these fuckers don't try to appeal again.

Just now: U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen, a W. Bush appointee, has ruled Republicans lack standing to challenge 127k drive-thru votes cast in Harris County (#Houston).

Of GOP argument that drive-thru sites are less secure than in-person polling sites, Hanen says “I ain’t buying that.”
