Has he disappeared or is he hiding under a rock?

(16,784 posts)When the next Congress is sworn in on 3 January? Democratic Party majorities in both Houses.
Bill Barr has much to answer for, and he will be held to account. Or maybe he got the COVID?

(25,471 posts)It's the same as the presidency - requires 67 votes to remove. Not happening.
Besides, the only penalty would be removal from office. That's not holding him accountable for anything.

(5,754 posts)I didn't realize that. Does that mean if both House and Senate are D majority, that Trump can't do anything after Jan 3?

(2,267 posts)Usually the new congress will start hearings on proposed cabinet type positions and others that require approval if I remember correctly.
The Dems can start work on legislation in Biden's agenda and then wait until Jan 20 or 21 to vote to prevent a veto. (statehood for PR and DC would both be good ideas to hold hearings) as it might affect apportionment when the census results are finalized.
There will not be any more crazy judges approved if we win the Senate.
