Not necessarily for a win - but for the fact that Texas!!!! is a battleground swing state this cycle. In a few years Texas will be a solidly purple state and a few years after that it will be as blue as California. The demographics are changing faster in Texas than just about anywhere else in the country.

The biggest thing we should be excited about in Texas is that more people voted before election day inn 2020 than voted in the entirety of 2016!

We haven’t had turn-out numbers like this in Texas in decades, so we may be able to give Donnie a jolly surprise tonight or tomorrow. I don’t expect it, but after two decades of losing state-wide races, it would be nice to have Team Donkey pull off an upset or three.

And as a native-born Texan, I like the thought of Donald Trump being the first Republican Party presidential candidate to lose Texas since Gerry Ford.
