I get a lot of political email. Mostly from republicans.

As usual, they ask for money of course, with the promise that it’ll be matched 1000% by, I dunno, somebody. They don’t say how or who.

Their tone has changed over the last few days, though. Here are the subject lines of three of the most recent ones:
I need you to FIGHT.
We need you to FIGHT BACK.
I need you to STAND UP NOW.
(Get it? It’s the opposite of “stand down.”)

And you know why they still send junk email. Because every now and then, some cosplaying gunfucking fantasy warrior actually takes them up on it. It’s not going to change anything, but it’s going to get someone killed. There oughta be a law.
