I'm taking a deep breath this morning and getting back to work.

I feel quite positive that Joe Biden will end the day as the presumptive winner. I believe strongly that NV and AZ will end up with Biden on top, and that settles that. I think there's a fair chance that he'll also pick up PA or GA as a kicker.

So, I'm leaving the land of anxiety and focusing on stuff that needs to get done. Fortunately, my primary client is quite patient and is in no rush for the work I'm doing for him, but it's time to get back to it.

I'll probably not spend today as I have spent the past couple of days, glued to news reporting and DU. I think this election will end well for us all.

There is really nothing we can do now to change the course of things, so we might as well carry on.

I'm vacillating between that and actual work

I told my family and friends that they should be feeling safe this morning since they fall within the National Defense airspace defined over Wilmington, New Castle, and Greenville.

DEMOCRACY Is not a part time job,.. but foolish to make it all encompassing or smothering.

The results will be known when they've done their work, so we might as well do ours as well.

I’m finding myself increasingly short-tempered and irritable. I’m working from home and all I want to do is shut things down.

Actively seeking a calmer and calming distraction.

There are no radios nor TVs down here. That is intentional, since both create distractions and stimulate anxiety. If I focus on things I need to be doing, I can escape for a few hours.

They don't worry about elections in their zeal to sniff the ground for whatever it is they're sniffing for.
