2. You claim a mandate - you win an election....

Look, Bush was handed the election by scotus. The gop IMMEDIATELY started talking massive mandates.

We need to do the same thing.

Claim it and own it. Don't worry about justifying it.

10. If we don't get it this time (still a 20% chance per predictit) we'll very likely get it in 2022.

You have people starting to lobby electors in GOP governed states that go to Biden to vote for trump instead.

7. It doesn't matter if Biden's electors are in a GOP-controlled state.

Biden's electors are chosen by the Democratic Party. Why would they want to cast their votes for Trump?

If they were bribed, they'd be found out immediately and go to Federal prison for quite a long time.

Heck, Hillary Clinton is an EC elector. Can you imagine in a million years her casting her vote for Trump?

Obstructionists like McConnel have to be contained. Elections have consequences.

8. 270 electoral votes vs. 326 vs. 370 is irrelevant

When they lose a state like Wyoming or Mississippi, maybe, maybe they'll change their tune. Until then, they'll only move further to the right and further into loony tunes territory. It's the only change they're capable of.

With all the advantages of an incumbent and with all the media bias and with cheating on top of it, we still won the electoral college and we won the popular vote by something like 9 million votes when all is said and done.

That's all the mandate we need.

11. Republicans wouldn't accept that it's a mandate if Joe Biden swept West Virginia and Idaho.

Their defining quality is their ability to ignore facts that are politically inconvenient for them.

There's gonna be national chaos.

Those who support Trump are not going to accept any defeat. No matter the margin, large or small, they're going to scream fraud.

I think that some people are just not understanding a CORE issue here. Conservatism. We as Liberals/Progressives/Democrats think that we have the better ideas. We think that given the chance to put our ideas into action, that people will realize that and will allow us to govern "by their consent". That is how we look at government.

Conservatives believe that there is a "natural order" something that is intrinsic and inherent or mandated by God. They just so happen to believe that by and large Wealthy White Protestant Christian Men are the natural leaders because ... they have been the kings and princes, and wealthy families, and colonists, throughout history. They think they have "the right" to rule, not to govern, TO RULE. This is not just Trump people, this is conservatives. All of them. Not overtly, not as brazen as Trump or McConnell, but as a foundational myth, literally that has been handed down historically from the days of the monarchies.

They only believe in voting if it favors their candidates, otherwise the elections were somehow stolen from them.
