Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, one of the biggest Trump boosters in Texas, says he'll pay up $1 million to encourage and reward those who report voter fraud. If info leads to arrest/ conviction for voter fraud. expect at least $25,000, he says.

(128,905 posts)until Fetterman got in. In fact, I had never heard of Sheetz period, being here in Philly.

(15,286 posts)They are actually the company that broke the barrier for beer and wine sales outside of the state store system. They had a dining area and sued saying they could sell alcohol. Giant Eagle was next. Now even my local Walmart is getting into the act setting aside an area with dining tables and applying for a liquor license.
So if your local PA grocery or convenience store sells beer or wine, thank Sheetz!

(128,905 posts)We have a couple suburban Acmes and Giant's near me that set aside an "eating" area to allow the beer and wine sales in the supermarkets, but the rest are mostly down in South Philly.
Because we also have a lot of 711s, I suppose it never became a "thing". The one big contribution that Wawa DID do here was to sponsor a number of events like their "Hoagiefest", and more importantly, their "Wawa 'Welcome America'" event for July 4th (which was done all-virtual this year).
EDIT - see now I want a Wawa hoagie (I do have a couple boxes of their coffee k-cups)!

(16,926 posts)This is a politician that represents what he has lived - and Sheetz is his "Hometown" team!
But, as a brilliant politician that can find ways to serve ALL of Pennsylvania, having good coffee in ANY part of the Keystone State!

(15,286 posts)I hope he gets his 1M, too. Much of it will go to help his adopted hometown of Braddock, I suspect.
If you have never seen this, enjoy.
