Obama Compares Trump to 'Richie Rich'

Barack Obama called Donald Trump “Richie Rich” in an interview with The Atlantic.

Said Obama: “There’s a notion that a man is true to his word, that he takes responsibility, that he doesn’t complain, that he isn’t a bully—in fact he defends the vulnerable against bullies.”

He added: “And so even if you are someone who is annoyed by wokeness and political correctness and wants men to be men again and is tired about everyone complaining about the patriarchy, I thought that the model wouldn’t be Richie Rich—the complaining, lying, doesn’t-take-responsibility-for-anything type of figure.”

Obama is promoting his new book, A Promised Land.

Disagree, Richie Rich was a harmless cartoon character. Idi Amin would be a closer match Autumn Nov 2020 #2

He could be ignorant of how his wealth could affect things, but he was essentially a noble guy who would rather go fly homemade kites with his friends than fly his own working child-sized plane (yes, that's an actual one pager mini-story).

His cousin Reggie Van Dough was the douchebag Trump-like character.

I think of Trump as Francis, the spoiled brat who steals Pee-Wee Herman’s bike in Pee-Wee’s Great Adventure.

I have long thought that Groper Don the Con saw himself as Richie Rich

and his understanding of life is based on comic books and TV. SAD
