Any info on the yesterday with Rudy trial?

Probably the usual crapfest but I have seen little other commentary.

Is the trial over? The phone-in number seems inactive now.

it was not a trial. it was hearings . At 5pm the judge has asked both parties to argue for or against the motion to dismiss which the defendants submitted yesterday.

on edit : the judge just cancelled it.

What's the difference, in this context, between a hearing and a trial? Does the hearing determine whether or not to proceed to trial?
