"Fine, you don't like the voting machines? Then we'll get rid of them and do 100% PAPER BALLOTS. Happy now?"

it takes away their talking points and wedge issues. It's like abortion. They've actually had chances in the last 30 years to make it illegal, but they have never actually pulled the trigger, partly because that would probably cause quite a backlash, but also because it would take away one of their favorite issues to run on.

So hearing Repubs complain about voting systems doesn't give me that much hope they would actually allow a real fix.

Voting issues,... electronic black box voting,... automatic audit of electronic results vs paper ballot realities,... all issues near and dear to us. But when Rethugs are on the war path because they think the election system failed them or cheated them,... we sit back and ignore the issue. Then later down the road the same issues light our asses on fire. The Rethugs refuse to focus on our concerns because the election went to their advantage.

We have to learn that when our agendas are being addressed we have to jump on the bandwagon to get these issues discussed and resolved.

Strike will the iron is hot - at the opportune time. Branding a calf with a cold iron delivers substandard results.

I was happy about the hand count in Georgia

They found a couple errs in the spreadsheet entrees ,easily corrected but shows why a hand count is necessary
