(34,069 posts)I claim responsibility for it based on sending 250 handwritten postcards (and the multiplicative effect they must have had on everyone who was so impressed!!) . . . Just kidding, but I am trying to extend the win by sending 250 postcards to Georgia in advance of the Senate runoff elections.

(9,444 posts)It's not like he would be missed. He doesn't do anything.
He just follows orders from his big business donors, and rubber stamps Alec-written legislation.

(218 posts)Once all remaining counties in the state certify their results, Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and Gov. Doug Ducey will make the final certification granting Arizona's electoral votes to Joe Biden.
As Secretary of State, Hobbs is Arizona's top election official. It's up to her to certify the results of the Nov. 3 election. Only Coconino and Mohave canvassing results of the state's 15 counties have not yet been received as of Friday night. The state canvass is scheduled to occur on Nov. 30.

(2,574 posts)The Arizona Republican Party had pressured some county officials in the state to delay their election certifications, but Hansen says she wasnt contacted by the party. President-elect Joe Biden won Coconino County by more than 60 percent.

A. On the fourth Monday following a general election (November 30), the secretary of state (Katie Hobbs - D), in the presence of the governor (Doug Ducey - R) and the attorney general (Mark Brnovich - R), shall canvass all offices for which the nominees filed nominating petitions and papers with the secretary of state pursuant to section 16-311, subsection E.
B. The secretary of state, in the presence of the governor and the chief justice of the supreme court (Robert Brutinel - R), shall canvass all proposed constitutional amendments and initiated or referred measures, as shown by the certified copies of official canvass received from the several counties, and forthwith certify the result to the governor.
C. If the official canvass of any county has not been received on the fourth Monday following the general election, the canvass shall be postponed from day to day, not to exceed thirty days from the date of the election, until canvasses from all counties are received.
So there's three GOP who might refuse to sign though none of them have said anything so far.

(2,574 posts)Mohave County is the only county that has not yet certified its results, and its canvass is scheduled for Monday.

(854 posts)And I love it. Knocking this SOB down from his "look at me and my greatness" pedestal another peg warms the heart. I hope he forever regrets ever getting on that escalator back in 2015. No individual has ever more deserved this kind of very public repudiation.

(26,620 posts)We should've been there next month, but not traveling due to COVID. I think maybe the economy misses us snowbirds. Also heard the Navajo Nation had a huge turnout and went 97% for Biden.
wonderful to see the southwest turn blue. Maybe someday we'll get Utah, all four corner states Democratic. Wouldn't that be something?
