My mom, also in a nursing home, had Covid earlier this year. She tested negative about a month before she passed away, but I still think that having Covid hastened her passing.

Never easy losing a loved one, and this year's circumstances take the pain to a whole new level.

I'm so sorry.

My Dad has been stuck in a facility since the world stopped. Blessedly he & the staff have been safe so far.

My heart hurts for you.

Far too many of us are sharing this same story. It's heartbreaking, and infuriating. Prayers for solace and comfort for all who loved her.

With less than 20K cases and just over 500 deaths. Still the numbers got worse this week with 83 active infections in the county but 21 of those were at a senior housing unit just down the street from my house...We lost only 1 from my large extended family but she was a big time loss...I could extol her but let this be enough-she was the family elder and a fun lady but had moved to a senior living center and it killed her. I guess there is no relevant point but this-isolate just a few more months and survive. No single turkey dinner is worth what we are about to watch in this "joyous season". Care for yourself and others-hold strong til' spring!
