How does the household transition work, on Jan. 20?

Does Trump get to watch while people pack up his belongings? Will he try to take all the televisions, already tuned to Fox? Will he be escorted out when Biden's stuff starts coming in?

I think we need live TV coverage of this event!

I want nothing to detract from Joe Biden being sworn in. This is his day, and Trump will become a nobody once again.

At 2am few nights before.

In the past they have a huge crew of people that move, paint, etc that does a lot in one day, not sure how covid will affect that.

I don't know if president's stayed in guest rooms or across the street at hotel in suite for last night.

I remember Michelle Obama talking about how the girls and their friends begged for one last sleepover. The next morning, she was trying to get herself ready while dealing with getting all the kids out of the house and movers everywhere.

He will channel the MAGAts and have them cheer him on as he cries out about the theft, and marches on with Secret Service protection. He will not meet with Biden, he will not shake Biden's hand, he will go on TV one last time and say the thing was stolen from him, a hour long, two hour long Q&A and ranting.

and place them in garbage bags set on the curb just outside the White House fence or placed in a waste container that will be forever branded as the "Trump Dump" in gold paint.

He will use them to impart favors among his subordinates in the future...

All I want to see is the Bidens and their family happily arriving at the White House. I imagine the household staff must have been tested for Covid and will be wearing masks, as will the Bidens.

I just remembered this story, which stuck in the back of my mind:

from Bloomberg news: "Trump Ended 2018 France Trip Having Art Loaded on Air Force One"

"After Donald Trump’s planned trip to a French cemetery for fallen Marines was canceled in November 2018, the U.S. leader had some extra time on his hands in a mansion filled with artwork. The next day, he went art shopping -- or the presidential equivalent.

Trump fancied several of the pieces in the U.S. ambassador’s historic residence in Paris, where he was staying, and on a whim had them removed and loaded onto Air Force One, according to people familiar with the matter. The works -- a portrait, a bust, and a set of silver figurines -- were brought back to the White House.
