'Jana from Kassel' compares her 'resistance' about Covid to Sophie Scholl resisting the Nazis. A security guard marches up to the stage, and hands in his hi-vis gear, saying he won't stand for such bullshit. Snowflake denier leaves in tears.

(54,502 posts)Imagine someone refusing to wear a mask in the USA and declaring their "sacrifice" and "courage" places them on an even par with Nathan Hale.
Well, except that if you are a Trumpanzee Virus Hoax advocate, you probably haven't the faintest idea who Nathan Hale was. Their idea of American heroes are Ronald Reagan and Charlton Heston.
This twit is no more equal in courage to Sophie Scholl than she is to Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc). She is out for attention, and got a bit more than she was counting on, and the right kind, for once.
By the way, her speech (and the reaction) made huge waves here in Germany, almost all negative. Members of the local government (State of Lower Saxony) stood up to register their disgust. None less than the German Foreign Minister, Heiko Maas (Social Democratic Party) registered his disgust publicly, and said flat out that Corona mask protesters and Nazi resisters had nothing whatsoever in common.
She is known all over Germany now as "Jana from Kassel." Spelling does matter here, by the way. Kassel is a city south of Hannover. "Kasse" means "cashier" or "cash register."
Kudos to the security guard for refusing to stand in silence while she spouted her tripe. HE is the hero in the video, not Jana.

(54,502 posts)Even native Germans are subject to typos, but I suspect that one was from a non-native, since "Jana from cash register" is something that would not gotten by a native German. It would have been like typing "I'm Susan from Indian." In German, proper nouns are capitalized, so the city Kassel and word Kasse are both correct as capitalized words.

(25,990 posts)Jana from Kassel behaved like a spoiled baby, both before and after the security guard stood up to her. She earned that backlash.
