Something is up. I walk past and behind the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa to visit my dad's nursing home and there is barbed wire on the Embassies back fence. That is new. My brother had a roomate whose father worked for the Chinese government. When Sri Lankan Tamils were having a demonstration on Parliament Hill 15 blocks away he was visibly shaken. He was terrified. So for sure the chinese are afraid of what they view as mob rule. But barbed wire on a fence? That backs onto the Rideau River? Are they expecting canadians to be so mad that we will attack them by canoe, kyack or paddle board? And what would make us so mad? Taiwan, Uyghurs or Tibet?
