I thought I hated Nixon, (still do) but I hate Trump much more..

Nixon was a minor crook as they say. (wiretaps, lying, associates lying, erasing tapes, etc.) Trump is a certified killer. Total incompetence that caused death. That is it, and that is all.

How many deaths as of today?? Dec 4, Thursday?..I don't know. Perhaps more deaths due to pandemic than Iraq War & 9/11 combined..(total)

In no way shape or form did Nixon try to disassemble the United States of America. By today’s standards, his paranoia and criminality are somewhere around the median for Republicans The interesting aspect of Nixon is that he was brilliant both academically and politically, and Understood every nuance of government and it’s workings. He was a liar and a crook but in his own way, compared with the Republicans of today, he was a patriot.

and Nixon even did a few good things. He was, of course, a criminal but more of a garden-variety type.

...This idea was totally against Republican philosophy, but it was important and Nixon did it. The price of gasoline had doubled and close to triple.
... After Nixon resigned, he shut up, and rarely made comments. After Trump leaves office, Trump ..will NOT shut up. He will continue to be totally disrespectful to everyone..

I think, deep down underneath that sweaty, paranoid exterior, there was a good man trying to get out. He was raised a Quaker, and Quakers always impress me with their fundamental decency.

But Nixon's insecurities, persecution complex, and bitter ambitions suppressed any true decency he might have possessed. We could have been served by a brilliant public official. But he, like Trump, used the White House to settle old scores. No one benefits from that.
