Here is a letter from the OSET Institute, which represents 60 cyber security experts, from Feb 2019 explaining that the BMDs (the voting machines used by GA at voting centers) print a barcode which cannot be verified by the voter, therefore there is no way to determine whether your vote gets counted as cast:

They are auditable.

My choices were clearly indicated on the ballot that printed out. If the barcode manged to flip my vote, that would have been detectable by the hand-counted audit that took place immediately after the election.

We have had to struggle now - twice - to have sufficient Democratic observers for these recounts. It has been a difficulty. But the process appears to have worked properly.

people don't check the printout, a simple calculation can determine how many ballots to print incorrectly. People are blaming down ticket losses on "defund the police" while completely ignoring, for example, the ability of these machines to manipulate election results.

This is why it is CRITICAL for every GA voter to check the printout before submitting their vote. If the printout is incorrect, they should ask to recast their vote.
