I Love Obama, but..................

I could have made a more convincing argument for his policies than he did. It's been like that throughout his term of office.

He has a lot to brag about. When they opened with jobs, where was his statement that he saved the Auto industry, while his opponent wanted them to go bankrupt. Ohio started with an unemployment rate 2 points above the national average (or about 11%). Other than Michigan, they rely on the auto industry the most out of any other state. 1 in 8 Ohio jobs are connected directly to the Auto industry. Now, the unemployment rate in Ohio is one point below the national average, around 7%. That's a 4 point improvement in a state that relies on manufacturing to employ it's citizens. When I came into office, the country was reeling as we were losing 850,000 jobs a month. Let me say that again, slowly, because my opponent criticizes a plus 100,000 monthly job report. When I came into office, as a result of the Republican economic policies, we were LOSING 850,000 jobs a month. The fourth quarter GDP in 2008 was revised to minus 9%. Let me repeat that number, MINUS 9%. As bad as the economic crisis looked exactly 4 years ago, it was found out to be worse than we thought. Now, we have had 44 months of positive job growth in the private sector. The stock market, which was teetering on the brink of collapse, is now at a 5 year high, and the Dow Jones has doubled in the 3 and half years I've been in office. That's not insignificant. Many of the viewers have their retirement in 401(k)'s, and the value of that benefit has doubled. We are recovering, and we are moving forward. And we are moving forward without the help of Mr. Romney's party. We have lost 650,000 public sector jobs, which has slowed this recovery, and those job loses are as a direct result of the obstruction of the Republicans in Congress. When Ronald Reagan moved the country into growth, the Democratic Congress assisted him to the tune of over a million additional public sector jobs in 1983. This recovery could be broader, deeper and stronger, if the party you represent would put the American people ahead of partisan politics.

And I wish he had said that. Maybe they can put it in an ad.

He did talk about the situation he inherited, just not how many jobs per month were being lost.

So, the Republicans want less Federal Government while Obama was supposed to get everyone back to work. Just how is that supposed to work?

And what about the Environment? Did I hear Romney promise to sell the country to Big Oil and Loveable Coal?
