Omg, California had 26, 575 new cases of COVID today

Every other state has 8,000+ on down. I don't know if it's because they're testing more or what. On previous days California and Texas have been about the same but today Texas had 7, 664 new cases.

3. To put this in a little bit of perspective they are testing like crazy in California so they

are catching more positives than almost any other state. That's great because more people are aware they are positive and hopefully will stay home.

They are testing more than 250,000 people a day.

The positivity rate is still under 10% which isn't great. But, some states have it in the 40s.

Yes, that many people testing positive is horrible.

But, I am really glad they have so much testing.

I saw those numbers earlier and did a double-take. It's great they're doing all that testing. Other states have ramped up by a few thousand, but I don't think they're doing more testing.
