Lazy or Incompetent? Why didn't Trump stop the steal?

Republicans are past masters of the "When did you stop beating your wife?" lines of attack.

We need to do better.

Trump failed, he cannot admit that so he makes an excuse. That's to be expected.

So the truth that he failed to win is unacceptable, lets make the excuse a failure also.

In the alternate reality in Trump world where he won the popular vote the first time, how is it that he let it happen again? Even with complete control of the national government he still allowed the Democrats to take the House and make major gains even in Red states. Did he lose focus? Did he leave it up to incompetent subordinates and never realized they were incompetent until to late? Did he put to much faith in allies who secretly wanted him to fail?
After that he seems to have failed to correct any of that and actually allowed to let it get worse.
He failed to stop the steal twice when he had the power to.

I'm been slowly dropping parts of that into my conversations with Trumper acquaintances and family. They make excuses, but usually after a pause. LOL it feels good anyway to argue when allowing them to start the terms. It is at least some relief.

Some nincompoop posted on a local news story about Covid-19 that the virus was from China, and how those rascally Chinese had infected all those good Americans in a bid to conquer the country (or something). The post ended with "Think about it."

I came very very close to responding, "You know, I thought about it, and you're right! This dastardly attack by the Chinese was launched knowing that President Trump would be utterly incapable of dealing with a pandemic. It's all sooooo obvious!"

That is the key to Trump even his supporters are aware of his flaws. They just are alright with them.

8. tRUMP didn't know where to go when the volcano of Biden voters threw him out. Maybe

someone can come up with a good analogy of the Blue Tsunami that washed tRUMP's
sorry carcass out to sea never to be seen again.

I think that tRUMP is selectively lazy and definitely incompetent to be anything except what
he is: a grifting criminal who deserves to live a long time and suffer every moment.

9. One day these people will finally realize how stupid they are...in the meantime, I get a laugh

out of everyone of them thinking that someone or some gang was smart enough to outwit millions and millions of people to 'steal' the election but not touch one single republican senator or house member that won and their election results. Go figure.
