Sometimes on the video there is a symbol of a speaker with an x or a diagonal line that you have to click to enable sound. You also may have to adjust the sound bar/line for volume.

For some reason they are all now muted by default.

If you look down on the lower right hand side of the video box there is a speaker icon with an 'X' off to the right of it. If you click on that icon you will be able to start the audio and set the level.

I'm guessing it was a move to keep videos from playing at full blast volume upon loading. Maybe a Safe-for-Work issue?

Still no audio on DU.

Copied a video URL from the front page and pasted it in the address bar; it opened and played with audio.

So, I can watch and hear posted videos, just can't do it directly on DU.

Is a puzzlement.
