DAMN IT!! I just received a text that one more of our family succumbed to COVID.

43 years old. Good, decent man who volunteered at nursing homes on week-ends before COV:ID hit in January. He suffered for 2 1/2 months before going into cardiac arrest late last night. I am so broken. He went almost exactly as my husband did. May the Trumpers all rot in hell!

I don't know about that statistic, but for those for whom it's fatal, it's a horrible passing. No one should be downplaying it. I just found out that one of my best friends, who is also a neighbor, lost her mother to COVID a few weeks ago. And she can't even visit her family b/c they live in Germany. 55. I HATE anti-maskers, they are killing us because they are such babies!

If they only killed other anti-maskers, no problem, karma etc. But they don't. Because of one of these fuckheads, our son who lives with us now has Covid and my husband and I have headaches and coughs as of today. Son is 35 and seems to be getting better, no fever or headaches today, so hopefully this isn't just one of the swings. Now we will all be trollying down to the testing station soon, praying we don't have it or are over it.

Son works at a fast food place where they are totally lax on masks and one of the people refused to wear one and was working with him and now he's got it and other people there are coming down with it too. He wears a mask at work, but it slips because it's so hot in the kitchen. I am scared, both my husband and I are pre-diabetics and bad lungs run on both sides of my family.

Also, what's going to happen after 12/31, money to the states for testing ends on that date. There are no other places here that provide free testing. Doctors offices won't test and son has no insurance so even if they did, he couldn't afford it.

I hate people killing Repugs who have refused to provide money to states for this testing because they want corporations to be able to kill the working class without penalty and that's all they care about.
