First, they came for the Republicans...

This is what happens when you encourage the cray cray for power. You cannot reason with cray cray, and eventually when you cannot exceed to their Q cray cray demands anymore because of the risk to national security and democracy they will turn on you. You saw it yesterday in some of the speeches in DC and it could not have happened to a more despicable shoal of sharks. The GOP encouraged the nasty, the tea party became the 'moderate' wing of the GOP - which is really saying something - as they whipped up white supremacy and nationalism as a way to retain power and hate filled cult cray cray became the new normal. The nazi normal has decided that the GOP is no longer fit for their purpose... could not happen to a nicer bunch. Heh.

I do hope the cray-cray form a new party, cutting the R-Scum party in 1/2 or maybe 1/3rd. Why? machoneman Dec 2020 #2

And if Trump calls on his white supremacist and anti-government domestic terrorists, once the shooting starts they’ll lose a lot of Republicans who vote on their pocketbooks because they have healthcare and just care about low taxes. My neighborhood is full of that group, but they won’t support random violence.

A splintered Republican Party would mean that the crazies would self isolate into their own smaller party. For the most part, they aren’t wealthy enough to sustain a political movement for long. We would still be left with the other segment of the part that is more dangerous—the wealthy backers who want to overturn democracy—but their number would be diminished.

What good dreams these are!

Then he became a Republican when he went up against Obama as a birther... He also found that the Republican party was ripe for a takeover when he entered the presidential race in 2015,.. But through it all, Trump was never really a Democrat, and never really a Republican... His only loyalty was to himself, and he could unleash his cult follower attack dogs on anyone or any party he chose.

Trump & his supporters have no loyalty to the GOP, or even to America, their only loyalty is to a belief in their own "superiority."
