(855 posts)more orange than he is? (Is that Chris Farley?) On the other hand that thing on dump's head is definitely creepier than usual. It looks like some rodent curled up and having a nap.

(5,470 posts)Has been for years. Can he be extradited back to his home country, Fuckmanistan, for crimes against Common Decency?
But I blame America as a whole. Excessive focus on superficial things rather than basic capability and proven performance guides too many voters. Nice hair, nice tie, picks on the same people I dislike, says he is rich *GASP*, was on a third rate TV show years ago *GASP again*, yep, I'm voting for him!
Politicians are SUPPOSED to be boring old farts that don't seek the limelight or make the news 10 times a day. Or Tweet their Insanity.
Boring? Comes with the territory. Competence is the important feature. Showmanship, bluff and bluster a la Trump is just superficial glitz.
No more ex TV stars, business people, successful or not, or bible bashing 'Speakers for God' in Government please.
Learnt that lesson yet, America?

(14,498 posts)Republicans cannot comprehend the term "public servant". Everything in their world has to be transactional.
Using right-wing media, they've turned our system of government into to a reality (shit)show to gain populist support.

(3,430 posts)the dumb Americans who made the Kardashians famous. There are SO many people who waste their time looking online at hypercurated, photoshopped images of celebrities and spending less time forming real relationships or having original ideas of their own.

(5,470 posts)If you make a list of all the things Trump says he can do, or has, then look for evidence on each point, and not find any, and you disregard those claims, what are you left with?
(Answer below)
Trump claims:
1. Successful business billionaire. (Yet his tax returns are secret)
2. Knows how to run a business. (Yet there is a whole list of business failures)
3. Has a big brain, and the best words. (Yet cannot construct a sensible and complete sentence)
4. Knows how to run a country. (Yet cares little about political history or respecting the Constitution)
5. Respects family values. (Thrice married, and his current wife is Melania)
6. Respects religion. (Yet golfs instead of going to church)
So if you disregard all his claims because they have no proof, what are you left with?
Answer: A windbag, a charlatan, a con man.
Fortunately other countries have been watching for the last few years. And the unanimous response is . . . you got to be joking!
So how dumb are the people who bought into the Trump mesmerism?
. . . . words fail me at this point . . .
CrispyQ
(36,547 posts)or when they made a mistake. Like Trump, they often times double down, even in spite of the evidence. And they especially don't want to admit that they were conned.

(17,081 posts)on my carpet of impeached traitor. I saw it in a catalogue and cut it out. Every time I get beyond po'ed, I stomp on that scrap of paper. It is pretty satisfying, and the paper is holding up to my frustrations.
Loathe impeached traitor and I don't even know him.
Looking forward to a time I don't have all of this hatefulness and despair in me.
