.... for providing Mayor Pete the opportunity to address millions of citizens across the United States, which he does for many prominent Democrats.
I am also glad that I do not have that burden of petty hatred for a man who has more than atoned for his past. It is rather disheartening to see actual Democrats revelling in glee at the opportunity to tear down a former Republican, now an independent, who has been instrumental in ridding the country of trump and helping to get Joe Biden elected.
So I would like to thank Joe Scarborough, just as I have thanked the man who brought us Sarah Palin, Steve Schmidt, a former republican, now a Democrat for there contributions to the Democratic Party.

Scarborough and Schmidt may still hold much more conservative views than I do, but that is ok. Someone doesn’t need to see the world the same exact way as me to earn my respect. They both have demonstrated that they are men who honor decency and The Constitution. The continued disparagement of those who have spoken out against this new fascism and have left the Republican Party is puzzling.

I have no problem with Steve Schmidt, but JS makes it difficult. His contemptuous attitude about what he labels "the far left," and gleefully snide remarks expressing his distain for the progressive agenda, make him hard to stomach. The best I can do is put up with him, and I do listen to his show for the guests, other contributors, and informed discussions (when Joe isn't obnoxiously blathering). That said, I do sincerely appreciate his unique contribution to taking down the reThugs.

Morning Joe is used constantly to help some people bolster their views, and opinions, yet at the same time those same people label him with disparaging and childish nicknames. Go figure.

I agree. Joe spreads the message of trump’s insanity every single morning with reinforcements from both parties.
I’ve seen some trolls here who purposely keep trashing him because they would like to see his anti trump message shut down, but I applaud it heartily. On the other hand, he can keep his love for Reagan to himself.

government Republican" will dawn on him (I credit Mika's influence on him). We have a big, hugely powerful nation to govern and Biden will ably govern it. From his experience with the Biden administration, I think Joe will get a new way of thinking (and Reagan's glitter will dim) and I hope at long last we can be rid of this Reagan fantasy of republicanism.

The Democratic Party, being the party that adapts to the new reality, will finally sweep way the broken shards of "Reagan Republicanism."

It turns out that the lift isn't so difficult, after all.

.... and I have never tried to defend his love for Reagan which for some reason is far and wide, including among some Democrats. One thing you will not find me doing is quoting him, and using his show to bolster my own views while at the same time labeling him with nasty and childish names.

I like that he's a performing musician. I don't like that he calls trump a democrat just because he gave money to democratic politicians. As a businessman, trump thought he was greasing the skids in a region that mostly elected Ds.

I'm trying to be more tolerant, and I can accept Joe with these few changes. He's been able to accept the Brzezinskis, so he can't be all bad.

If you haven't listened to him or his band, I would recommend it. I think he's pretty good at the music thing.

His intelligence, integrity, and formidable communication skills were on full display in this segment. It made me believe in the possibilities of good government, which is all I want for Christmas. The Department of Transportation will be organized around the principles of Safety, Climate, Jobs, and Equity. It feels good to know he'll be at the helm.
