Gohmert's suit against Pence

Doesn’t make any sense whatsoever....he is suing saying that The Electoral Count Act of 1887 is unconstitutional and takes away from the Vice President’s 12th Amendment powers...but I read both documents and don’t see anything.. The Vice President really has no powers except to read the certified vote from each state...if anything, the electoral act gives more power to House members and Senators allowing them to object (something that Republicans ate planning to do)...if anything, the allowing of objections should be ruled unconstitutional

1. Objections are only allowed if the electors are not legitimate.

They have to follow their own state law on how their electors are decided. In most cases when voters vote they are voting for the electors that represent their congressional district and the two U.S. Senators.

He probably thinks he's making points with Trump...surely, he knows better...? The link is further verification Pence can't ignore the electoral votes...he's not even the one who does the counting.

adjourned sine die back in May, we done gone through this here election, following all these goddam laws duly enacted by the legislature, with the shitty result that we done lost, which we think should be illegal, given all the fuckin time and effort we dumped into tryin to screw everbody over, and then the goddam governor wasn't helpin us like we thought he oughta, so we're still lookin for a way to screw everbody over, so since the legislature wasn't meetin we done cooked up this here phony resolution by members of the legislature, which we hopin will fool yer fuckin ass, and we got these nice dames to mock-up and notarize this bogus certificate presentin our glorious selves as Arizona's official electors who votin for Trump and arguin that we won't be happy again until we reduce the whole election to the whimsy of the vice-president, with all respect to yer fuckin honor"
