Reason McConnell won't bring up vote on the $2,000 stimulus check

I just saw a short video clip of Sen McConnell on the CBS Evening news where he says:
"We're not borrowing to give more money to the Democrats' rich friends who don't need help."

Silly me. I thought it was to help those in lines at food banks, those getting evicted, etc.
