Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), a doctor who tested positive this year and has since recovered, was more pointed in flagging the dangers of the virus.

“It just, just, just, just brings home covid can kill,” Cassidy said. “For most folks it doesn’t, but it truly can.

I saw this doofus interviewed on one of the MSNBC shows. He was supportive of wearing masks, but could NOT bring himself to say that it would be helpful if Trump would wear one. Just couldn’t do it. The interviewer gave him at least 3 chances to say so, and he couldn’t.

I thought one had to be smart to get into and finish med school. The doctors who are in Congress make me wonder about that.

He's one of my senators and lives a few miles from me. My son and his were friends in high school. My friend taught Sunday School with him at their Episcopal Church. He's not a bad person, and he's smart. But he will never stray from the GOP playbook. Congress is one helluva screwed up institution these days.
