Personally, as long as Biden won, everything except covid I can handle.
Imagine if we had had a real administration: Covid might be over now.

(111,302 posts)Nobody is going to look at this year as the good old days, not even an introvert like me.
2021 isn't going to start off any better, but at least the manbaby will be sulking back in Florida.

(6,550 posts)I got tired of watching how I changed under the Trump Regime. Between seeing a lot of my favorite entertainers and other people's relatives die and worrying to death about other people, I am tired and don't feel like celebrating. I'm glad to boot 2020 in the butt and have it in the rearview mirror.
I have been nonpolitical for most of my life, although I always voted. and voted for anyone I thought was the best. Never again. Now, I will watch carefully and never vote Repub again. If the Dems don't measure up, I will not support them, either.
In 2020, a lot of my aging fur family passed away. I don't put animals over humans, but dammit, they were MY family. I plan to get myself a puppy in 2021, if circumstances still permit. The plan is for Summer 2021. It's something I am looking forward to doing.
I would not mind just putting an asterisk next to 2020 as possibly the worst year I have ever lived. The last four years have been atrocious, astonishing, and eye opening. Just four years of hell.
I am thankfully every day since Nov. 3rd for the citizens that turned out to rid us of the likes of Trump, et al. Warriors, every last one of them. It has been hell every day since he took office, and it is going to be a tremendous relief that he will be gone. It's going to be up to all of us to keep him gone.
I am gritting my teeth until next Tuesday for Georgia's judgment, and then Wednesday for the final vote tally and the irrefutable installation of Biden/Harris as our new leaders. Then, a big, joyous sigh of relief on Jan. 20th. I am hoping to see Trump and his wife depart the WH, at which time I will clap my hands and laugh again.
