Trump Could Head to Scotland to Skip Inauguration
January 4, 2021 at 7:33 am EST By Taegan Goddard

“President Trump could be planning a trip to Scotland to avoid attending his successor Joe Biden’s inauguration,” the Sunday Post reports.

“Prestwick airport has been told to expect the arrival of a US military Boeing 757 aircraft, that is occasionally used by Trump, on January 19 – the day before his Democratic rival takes charge at the White House.”

“Speculation surrounding Trump’s plans has been fuelled by the activity of US Army aircraft, which were based at Prestwick airport for a week and said to be carrying out 3D reconnaissance of the president’s Turnberry resort.”

Didn't he just lose a lawsuit against them? The Scottish powers that be will be more critical of him than any Democrat, and that's saying a lot.

I forgot to add: WTH is our military doing surveilling his property?

I think he had several. One had to do with Scotland's plan to construct wind turbines within view of his golf course. I thought this last one had to do with the housing area he was trying to build.

Wish I could contact my relatives over there.

You are probably right. If anyone needs security, it's him. If anyone deserves security? Not him.

28. Trump resoundingly lost the court cases about the wind farm off Menie, Aberdeenshire, some years ago

Both his Aberdeenshire course and Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire have housing developments slated. The one at Menie has planning permission, the one at Turnberry has slim chances of being granted. According to a pal of mine high up in planning, without these housing developments both courses will likely never be profitable, not that this seems to matter much to Trump.

It would be a great time for Trump to visit as Scotland's entering advanced lockdown measures. On one hand, this would severely damp down any physical protests, on the other, he'd be holed up in a Shining-type scenario with only his personal Twitter account and the ghosts of those he's betrayed and killed for company.

There has been talk of raising an Unexplained Wealth Order to investigate the funding of his Scottish golf courses, so relocating here would likely excite the press again about all that:

Nicola Sturgeon: Donald Trump will face ‘accountability’

Nicola Sturgeon has said Donald Trump will face “due accountability” in Scotland if evidence emerges that his Scottish golf courses have been used for money laundering and fraud.

The first minister said she will not protect the “soon to be former president of the United States” from investigation by Scottish authorities if evidence of malpractice emerges when he becomes a private citizen.

Isn't it amazing that almost everything he does, every deal, every decision is shady or suspicious? It seems to be a way of life for him, so there is little chance that he will ever change. I'll bet his dad was a real prize.

Can an ex-president still command the use of U.S. military aircraft? Or will he have to fly on his own dime?

Aren't we prohibiting people from flying here from Great Britain because Covid?

Maybe he could share a flat with Assange, and just stay there until his 2024 campaign.

It may have been repo'd a while ago! Good point! Well, if he has to rely on our transportation resources to get a ride home, he probably will be restricted somehow.

I don't think he's going to have the latitude anyone imagines even before the 20th. He will force us to kick him out though. And that would make it easier to keep him under wraps.

It was one thing when he was talking about going to FL but if he is in Scotland when he becomes a private citizen again it will make it even easier for him to run on the 20th. He must really know what is coming his way and knows he can't stop it on the 20th. He has probably been tipped off that they have an iron clad case against him.

It would not surprise me that they make multiple plans just for safety purposes. He isn't going to have the security like he did when he was in office. He will still have SS detail but not like a sitting president. Personally, I hope he goes to Russia. It is where he should be if not in jail.
